Confusion with Time or Place
If something is not happening right away, patients could get confused. Patients could also be perplexed on how they got to a certain place.
Memory Loss
Patients may forget recently learned information, or information that have known for a long time, such as birthdays, appointments, etc. NOTE: this can also occur with regular aging!
New Problems with Speaking or Writing
Patients would struggle with conversation, i.e. not knowing how to repeat what they had said, or how to join the conversation. They could also struggle with vocabulary or naming things.
Changes in Mood and Personality
Patients may be easily upset, and may feel confused, anxious, suspicious or fearful. Mood changes may be frequent as well.
Difficulty Completing Familiar Tasks
Patients may not remember how to complete familiar tasks, such as remembering a familiar recipe, grocery list or route.
